Privacy policy
How Keiser University Nicaragua collects, uses and protects the information you share through this site.
This policy explains what this website collects, why, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this site only. Keiser University's main site, the student portal and Blackboard are governed by their own policies.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit a program interest form we collect your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and the program and campus you are interested in. If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we keep that correspondence.
Information collected automatically. When you browse this site we collect technical data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you arrived, and how long you stay. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, send the program information you asked for, and follow up about admission. An admissions counselor will contact you using the details you provide. We also use aggregated technical data to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site.
Who has access to your information
Your information is handled by the Keiser University Nicaragua admissions team. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We use service providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions:
HubSpot — our customer relationship and marketing platform. Form submissions are stored there, and HubSpot's tracking code records your activity on this site so a counselor can see what you were interested in before you wrote. Google Analytics — aggregated traffic measurement. YouTube — campus tour videos, embedded in privacy-enhanced mode, which sets no tracking cookies until you choose to play one. Netlify — the hosting provider that serves these pages.
Cookies and tracking
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. This site uses three kinds:
Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work, such as remembering that you dismissed a notice. These cannot be turned off.
Analytics. Google Analytics cookies, which tell us how many people visit and which pages they read. They do not identify you by name.
Marketing and identification. HubSpot sets cookies — including hubspotutk, __hstc, __hssc and __hssrc — that give your browser an identifier and link your page visits to the form you submit. Retention periods are set by HubSpot and published in their cookie documentation.
You can delete cookies or block them in your browser settings at any time. Blocking analytics and marketing cookies does not prevent you from using this site or from submitting a form.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers operate servers outside Nicaragua, principally in the United States and the European Union. By submitting a form you understand that your information will be transferred to and stored in those jurisdictions, which may have data protection rules different from Nicaragua's.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as it is useful for admission purposes, and afterwards as our records policy requires. If you ask us to delete it and we are not required to keep it, we will.
Your choices
You may ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Write to admissionslac@keiseruniversity.edu and say what you want done. Marketing emails also carry an unsubscribe link, which takes effect without you having to write to anyone.
Minors
This site is intended for prospective students and their families. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian submit the form on your behalf.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date below.

Draft for review — not yet approved
This text is a working draft. It must be reviewed and approved by Keiser University legal counsel and checked against Nicaraguan data protection law before this site goes live. Two points in particular need a legal decision: whether a cookie consent banner is required before HubSpot and Google Analytics load, and whether the international transfer of personal data described above needs explicit consent rather than notice.
