Our mission

Your success
is our mission

Keiser University's mission is to prepare graduates for successful careers through rigorous academic programs and the professional and personal development of every student.

When the Keiser family opened its first school in Ft. Lauderdale in 1977 — one student and a few classrooms — nobody imagined that four decades later there would be campuses across Florida, agreements with universities in China and Moldova, and a campus in Nicaragua.

That growth traces back to a single philosophy: students come first. Small classes, personalized teaching, practical training and schedules built around real lives.

Academic excellence

Rigorous programs held to U.S. standards and reviewed by the same bodies that review U.S. universities.

Students first

A 14:1 student-faculty ratio and mentorship that follows you through the degree.

Global reach

A degree recognized by employers and graduate schools well beyond Nicaragua.

Innovation

Nicaragua's first Artificial Intelligence degree, plus diplomados that track what industry needs now.

Accreditation

The credential
behind the credential

A degree is only worth what the body standing behind it is worth. Here is exactly who stands behind ours, and what each accreditation covers.

Institutional

SACSCOC

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges

Keiser University is accredited by SACSCOC to award certificates and associate, baccalaureate, master's, specialist and doctoral degrees. This is institutional accreditation: SACSCOC accredits the university as a whole, not each program individually. Every degree listed on this site is awarded by that accredited institution.

SACSCOC is the regional accreditor for the southern United States and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. That recognition is what U.S. graduate schools and international employers look for, though each institution and employer applies its own admission or hiring criteria.

Questions about the accreditation of Keiser University may be directed in writing to SACSCOC, 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097, by calling (404) 679-4500, or at www.sacscoc.org.

ACBSP

Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs

Keiser University also holds ACBSP accreditation, specifically for its business programs. Where SACSCOC certifies the institution, ACBSP examines the teaching and learning process inside the business school itself — curriculum, faculty qualifications, and how student learning is measured.

It is a voluntary accreditation. Most universities do not hold it. For a student choosing between business degrees, it is one of the few signals that separates a program reviewed by outside specialists from one that is not.

Programs covered by ACBSP accreditation

The following business programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. This accreditation certifies that their teaching and learning processes meet ACBSP standards.

U.S. Department of Education

Federal recognition of SACSCOC is what gives Keiser degrees their standing internationally.

CNU Nicaragua

Accredited by the Nicaraguan Council of National Universities (CNU), and holds International Mission status with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

One diploma

A degree earned in San Marcos or Managua is awarded by the same institution, under the same accreditation, as one earned in Florida.
