Why English, why now

English is the
difference in the offer

In Nicaragua, English proficiency is the deciding factor between securing a local position or a high-paying international job in the call center, logistics, tourism, and remote work industries.

Better-paid work

The BPO sector, tourism and international logistics frequently list English as a hiring requirement. For many roles it is the qualification that opens the shortlist.

Preparation for university study

Keiser's San Marcos degree programs are taught in English, so language study is useful preparation for university readiness. Admission to a degree program is separate and subject to its own requirements.

Work without leaving

Remote work for foreign companies continues to grow in the region, and English is usually a prerequisite for those roles.

Academic quality standards.

English programs developed and delivered in accordance with the academic standards and quality expectations of the International Language Institute.

English learning in Nicaragua.

Flexible language-learning options offered at Institute locations and participating teaching centers.

Questions

Before you ask us

No. We place you at the level you are actually at, starting from absolute beginner. That is what the placement test is for.
It depends on the program and how often you attend. The immersion program (LIP) is the fastest route. Your advisor will give you a realistic timeline after your placement test.
Registration is free. Tuition, the placement assessment fee and any credit applied to your first payment depend on the program and location — ask Admissions for the current figures before you enroll.
Students who meet the applicable academic requirements may receive the corresponding International Language Institute completion certificate, under institutional policies. This is a language-program completion document, not a university degree or a degree-level academic credential.
It can help you prepare. San Marcos degree programs are taught in English, so many students build the language here first. Studying at the Institute does not guarantee admission to a degree program: admission is a separate process with its own requirements.
Yes, in two separate programs. The Young English Program (YEP) is for children and runs across 10 levels. The International Junior English Program (IJEP) is for teenagers and runs across 14 levels. Both share one catalog and are offered on Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Ask an advisor which one matches your child's age.
